A 6-year-old raised money to buy children’s costumes in Sulzbacher. The Players then matched his fundraising goal
JACKSONVILLE, Florida – A local 6-year-old raised funds to buy Halloween costumes for the children of Suzlbacher.
Inspired to join Brinkley Minter’s quest, The Players Championship matched their fundraising goal with a surprise donation of $ 5,000 to Sulzbacher.
The surprise came on Monday when Brinkley visited the village of Sulzbacher.
“Thank you very much for your great idea. You are doing an amazing job, and because of what you have done this community is a better place, so thank you very much. I really appreciate it, “said Mat Welch, president of The Players 2022 tournament.” Great job, you did a great job. “
Halloween is Brinkley’s favorite holiday, and she wanted to make sure the other kids had the chance to dress up to celebrate. She saved donations – over $ 5,000 – to secure costumes for the children at the homeless center by painting and selling artwork on a GoFundMe page her mother coined the name “Brinkley Costume Fundraiser” over a month ago.
“The fact that people in the community are so receptive to us and want to support her in her goals – it’s really a good feeling,” said Gwynne Minter, Brinkley’s mother. “I’m really proud of her.
Brinkley had no idea that his special project would mean not only costumes for Sulzbacher’s children, but also more help for the nonprofit that serves them.
Brinkley seemed a little overwhelmed by all the cameras and all the fuss made about her, but she was very excited and her act of kindness even caught the attention of the national media.
