| ‘Follow your art’ with the city’s new art exhibition

The Town of Santa Clarita is hosting the latest art exhibit, “Follow Your Art” at the First Floor Gallery of Santa Clarita Town Hall. The art exhibition will be presented at City Hall from October 4 to December 3.

It can also be viewed virtually by visiting

Join the city for an evening reception to discuss the works of art on display and get to know the artists behind the unique pieces on October 6 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the first-floor gallery. Enjoy light refreshments and live music as you stroll through the gallery.

As technology moved away from the use of cards, artists found exciting ways to preserve the beauty and inspiration of cards. “Follow Your Art” features the use of a physical map to create original works of art ranging from large portraits to small collages and three-dimensional pieces. The group exhibition consists of 17 talented artists and 40 unique works of art.

Featured multimedia artist Nancy Goodman Lawrence presents nine pieces from her collection. Each piece offers a unique look at the artist’s techniques in creating works with cards. Concentric portraits and narratives can be seen in this exhibition. To see more of Lawrence’s work, visit
